We are seeking a talented and passionate Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) Engineer to join our growing AI team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving multiple AI initiatives that will transform the way our organisation services its customers.

You’ll be at the forefront of operationalising machine learning and AI models, ensuring they are seamlessly deployed, monitored, and maintained within scalable, secure, and reliable production environments.

Working closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders, you’ll help integrate AI-driven solutions into core business processes, delivering tangible outcomes that support both SME and Enterprise businesses.

This will be a full time, 12 month contract position (with the view to be made permanent) based in the Sydney office, with flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.
 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and optimise MLOps pipelines to support the full lifecycle of ML/AI models, including deployment, monitoring, and retraining, following DevOps and MLOps best practices.
  • Build scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure for ML/AI solutions using Infrastructure as Code, ensuring systems meet functionality, performance, and reliability requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with security and data privacy standards across all MLOps activities, proactively addressing vulnerabilities and operational risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and seamlessly integrate ML/AI models into production applications and workflows.
  • Develop and maintain robust logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions for ML/AI models in production, troubleshooting model and infrastructure issues as they arise.
     

.ABOUT YOU

  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience as a MLOps or DevOps Engineer.
  • Extensive experience in deploying ML/AI solutions on private and public cloud platforms, with a focus on AWS services.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
  • Experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CDK), containerisation, Kubernetes, along with API development tools and frameworks such as REST and FastAPI
  • Knowledge of ML, LLM, and Gen AI
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills, with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
