What will your role be?
As National Key Account Executive, you will play a pivotal part in Diageo’s Independents business, working at the intersection of commercial execution and operational delivery. With Diageo’s world-class portfolio at your fingertips, you will manage day-to-day relationships across key national Independents banner groups—ensuring performance targets are achieved and our brands show up with excellence in-market.
You’ll act as the first escalation point within the Independents team, leading process improvements that simplify and accelerate ways of working. This role also provides direct exposure to Key Account Management, including pricing negotiation, support of National Independent customers working closely with the NAMs on LMG and IBA, ownership of your own accounts and potential for future customer expansion. You’ll work closely with internal partners across customer service, supply, finance and marketing and champion as the voice of the customer internally.
What does this role look like for you?
- Develop core capability in Key Account Management, including pricing negotiation and commercial ownership
- Build influence and communication skills across wholesaler partners, field teams and internal support functions
- Strengthen commercial and analytical skill through reporting, forecasting and operational delivery
- Lead process simplification initiatives to drive efficiency and customer-focused outcomes
- Grow into a pathway for future senior account or commercial leadership roles through expanding responsibilities
What will you bring to the table?
- 3–5 years’ experience in FMCG within commercial, supply chain or a related function
- Exposure to wholesale, customer service or accounts receivable/payable environments (advantageous)
- Strong negotiation skills and proven ability to manage competing priorities
- Financial competency and understanding of business fundamentals, including P&L
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills, with a proactive and detail-accurate approach
- Excellent communication, resilience under pressure and strong problem-solving capability
