We currently have an exciting and varied opportunity for a National Accounts Receivable & Finance Coordinator to join our Finance team in Sydney on a permanent, full-time basis.
Reporting to the National Trust Compliance Manager, this role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day receipting and allocation of incoming funds nationally. This role will see you maintaining core system data, ensuring compliance of risk management protocols.
You will also provide ad-hoc support with Trust Accounting compliance and other Accounts functions.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Process accounts and incoming payments (i.e receipting of funds nationally), ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data.
Preparation of bank deposits for banking.
Reconciliation of the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ payment issues.
Reconciliation of bank statements.
Management of matter credits (unapplied cash) review and follow-ups as required (nationally).
Trust Accounting support, including management of day-to-day trust transactions, reconciliations and compliance.
Ad-hoc requests as required.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will have:
2+ years experience inn Accounts Receivable role within a professional services environment (preferably legal).
Experience handling high volume transactions with excellent accuracy, efficiency and diligence.
Experience using a Practice Management System (Aderant Expert would be advantageous).
Highly developed organisational skills with strong attention to detail
Highly capable of managing and prioritising high volume work load, especially during month end.
Strong communication skills demonstrated through the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Intermediate MS Excel skills and competent with other Microsoft Office applications.
