Are you a driven Business Development professional with a passion for developing new markets, introducing innovative solutions, and closing high-impact B2B deals?

Based in either Sydney or Victoria under a Hybrid working arrangement, forming part of a supportive, values-driven team and reporting directly to the Manager, Channel Development, your role as National Business Development Manager will be to expand CHEP’s market presence, driving strategic growth initiatives, and introducing innovative/tailored container solutions to new and existing customers.

Your Role:

Find & Win New Business

  • Research and identify new markets and potential customers in the Protein & Industrial sectors.
  • Approach businesses and demonstrate how CHEP’s reusable packaging solutions (IBCs, Bins, RPCs) can improve their operations.
  • Work on sales negotiations, contracts, and agreements to close high-value deals.

Drive Strategic Growth & Innovation

  • Analyze market trends to identify new opportunities and expansion areas.
  • Develop sales strategies that target industries where CHEP’s products can replace traditional packaging solutions.
  • Introduce new products and services that create efficiency and cost savings for customers.

Manage Key Sales Metrics & Performance

  • Achieve set business targets
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline
  • Track and report on competitor activity, pricing trends, and customer demand to stay ahead in the market.

Collaborate & Influence

  • Work with internal teams (Sales, Commercial, Operations) to develop solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Attend industry events and networking opportunities to build relationships and promote CHEP’s brand.
  • Train and support local sales teams on market trends, innovations, and new business strategies.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Sales & Negotiation Skills – able to influence decision-makers and close high-value deals.
  • Market Research & Business Development – Identifying new business opportunities and assessing potential markets.
  • Commercial Acumen – understanding how businesses operate and how financial decisions impact profitability.
  • Stakeholder Management – build relationships with Exec-level decision makers & collaborate with various internal teams (Finance, Sales, Operations) to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Problem-Solving & Strategic Thinking – finding innovative ways to help customers improve their Supply Chain.
  • Data Analysis & Forecasting – Using insights to predict demand, manage supply, and plan pricing strategies.
