The National Key Account Executive (NKAE) role is primarily responsible for winning new business and expanding Red Bull’s distribution within the Limited/Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) channel using the Hunting List System. An equal key focus of the role will be to implement segment-specific POS execution and vertical listing outcomes in new and existing accounts to win new consumers and drive subsequent incremental volume to a profitability target. The NKAE will focus on winning new medium-sized key account groups within the QSR channel and work closely with the regions to provide a new level of customer engagement. Ultimately, the NKAE outputs will enable Red Bull to grow our distribution and relevance within QSR channel and drive our long-term growth.

Job Description

WIN NEW BUSINESS, VOLUME SALES & PROFITABILITY DEVELOPMENT

  • Win and contract new Key Account Groups from “No Energy” or competition as per target using the Hunting List System
  • Drive horizontal and vertical distribution in new and existing accounts
  • Ensure volume targets are met by Key Account
  • Re-sign all existing Key Account Groups
  • Deliver profitability targets by Key Account Group as per agreed investment proposals

 

IN-ACCOUNT BRAND EXECUTION

  • Execute segment specific POS to drive awareness and incremental beverage sales
  • Activate Red Bull sales drivers in the QSR channel
  • Gain agreement to place Red Bull Coolers and POS with engaging content in accounts
  • Own ordering at the table where applicable and ensure suitable product offer is available by account
  • Ensure listing and execution on Digital Ordering Platforms that service the accounts
  • Deploy permanent and temporary Consumption Activation
  • Place segment-specific POS with occasions messaging, including Red Bull and customer-owned POS materials
  • Win Owners, Franchisees, and Venue Staff through training, competitions, and staff consumption programs

 

IN-ACCOUNT BRAND ACTIVATION

  • Gain support to adopt Red Bull ‘Owned’ consumer promotions and marketing initiatives
  • Develop and deploy ‘Customer Tone of Voice bespoke brand activation where applicable
  • Maximise effectiveness of agreed customer joint-marketing funds to drive premium brand activation

 

CUSTOMER MANAGEMENT

  • Manage Joint Marketing Funds and Variable Rebates to agreed levels in a timely manner
  • Trading Terms negotiations as required, improving profitability and business development outcomes
  • Rolling 6-12 month joint-business-plans (JBP’s) prepared and delivered to all customers
  • Quarterly performance reviews prepared and delivered to all customers, along with claims verification and processing
  • Obtain and manage monthly Sales Data from customers and Distributor Partners where necessary
  • Engage customers through our Industry Marketing Program

 

INTERNAL COLLABORATION

  • New Business internal investment pitches
  • Work closely with On Premise Marketing Partner to drive brand activation outcomes
  • Drive internal customer performance reviews with Finance Partner
  • Maintain Hunting List and Key Account Tracker

Qualifications

University Degree Preferred

Minimum 2-years FMCG account manager experience

Intermediate capability with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams

Strong presenter and active listener

Able to diagnose win-win opportunities and influence customers to adopt

Knows premium brand execution and activation

Strong negotiation skills at a senior level and commercial acumen

Action-oriented; follows through and drives outcomes to completion
