Job Description

The Opportunity
As the National Procurement Manager, a pivotal role in our organization, you'll be at the forefront of anticipating and meeting the needs of internal clients proactively.
Reporting directly to the National Commercial Manager your responsibilities go beyond mere identification - you'll actively pursue opportunities to enhance efficiency in logistics and procurement.

Armed with insights from past experiences, your role involves not just recognizing but actively shaping processes, cultivating a procurement environment that is not only streamlined but profoundly effective. With a strategic mindset and proactive approach, you'll be a driving force in optimizing our procurement operations for success.
Key responsibilities:

  • Lead comprehensive market research initiatives to identify and integrate innovative and sustainable products/services into our procurement strategy.
  • Implement standardised contract models to ensure clarity, compliance, and efficiency, while also fine-tuning resource utilisation for optimal productivity.
  • Conduct rigorous supplier identification, evaluation, and continuous monitoring processes to ensure a robust and dependable supplier base.
  • Expertly negotiate and execute framework agreements, strategically designed to streamline the procurement of consumables and control costs effectively.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams to rationalise purchasing needs, fostering a cohesive and efficient procurement process across the organisation.
  • Alignment and adaption of Acciona and ANZ procurement policies
  • Participation on ANZ Projects Procurement staff recruiting processes
  • Identifying synergies among the main procurement categories (steel and others raw materials, etc)

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Proven experience in a Procurement function operating with in a matrix environment sourcing technical equipment ideally gained in a construction or engineering or industrial sector.
  • Strong knowledge in the full scope of procuring and packaging technical works /materials, from development of scope and RFQ documentation, managing the tendering process, commercial review and working with the contracts team to award of contract.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree or college diploma in Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce or Economics.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
