Job Summary

The Network Engineering-Senior Engineer is a critical contributor in ensuring that the Telstra network delivers an exceptional network experience for our customers.
Your day-to-day focus will be coordinating large capital programs to ensure seamless integration with the existing complex infrastructure and contributing towards developing optimal engineering solutions for power and cooling within InfraCo sites.
You'll lead or contribute towards complex technical feasibilities, and you’ll play a key role in integrating new projects into our current set-up and help us design better solutions for InfraCo sites. Our InfraCo team 

Being in our InfraCo business means you'll be a part of creating Australia’s most valuable telco infrastructure business. 

Our team’s focussed on maintaining Telstra’s assets, growing our network resilience and leveraging Wholesale and nbn co revenue streams in order to position InfraCo as a strong, viable business in the market. 

Please note this is an up-to 24-month fixed term contract and you can be based from any major AU city.

What you’ll do 

  • Plan and identify infrastructure needs for DC Power, HVAC, and AC Power in our network. 

  • Lead or support technical assessments for key InfraCo assets, including cost analysis and feasibility studies. 

  • Find practical engineering solutions that deliver value for all customers and open new commercial possibilities. 

  • Scope and budget for design and construction projects, working closely with a range of teams and partners to meet project goals. 

  • Follow health, safety, and compliance guidelines in your work. 

  • Seek out learning and mentoring opportunities and support the development of your colleagues within the National Planning Team. 

About you 

  • Demonstrable experience leading infrastructure design and projects, including capacity planning, budgeting, and cost estimation for build projects. 

  • Technical know-how in Building Engineering Services, such as AC/DC Power, air-conditioning, renewables, or data centre services. Able to read schematics, diagrams, and apply relevant Australian Standards. 

  • Strong problem-solving and planning skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate with people from all walks of life, building positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
