NTT DATA is looking for a Level 3 Network Operations Engineer to support a key project in Federal Government. This role will work within the NTT DATA Network Operations Centre (NOC) and collaborate with our Client to offer crucial managed services in support of nationally important networking and monitoring systems. This partnership aligns with our customer’s mission of providing safe, secure, efficient, and environmentally responsible services. The role plays an important role in in the administration and support of the infrastructure, ensuring the highest standards of security, safety and reliability.

The Network Operations Engineer will be responsible for managing WAN, LAN and Data Centre Networking, Wireless Networks, Load Balancers, Firewalls, Corporate Telephony and Network Management Platforms and Applications.

What You'll be Doing

• Work independently, with general direction from the client, stakeholders, team lead or senior manager, to perform operational tasks to resolve all incidents / requests in a timely manner within agreed SLA. Timely and consistent updates of tickets with resolution tasks performed. 

• Proactively identify, investigate, analyse issues and errors prior to or when they occur and log all such incidents in a timely manner. Capture all required and relevant information for immediate resolution. 

• Plan, coordinate and implement complex system changes within client specified change windows. Liaise with the client, vendors, and other partners to ensure minimal disruption to the client’s day-to-day business operations. 

• Monitor performance levels and capacity of supported devices and networks and assist in proper capacity planning and management. 

• Test new software versions and patches for release suitability and problem resolution.  

• Maintain detailed, accurate technical documentation and operational procedures for supported solutions.

• Operate within Security and Compliance frameworks.

• Support facility and access management for the NOC Operations Centre and associated data centres.

• Obtain and maintain all role-specific internal certifications required to perform the duties of the position effectively.

Your Experience and Qualifications

• You must be an Australian Citizen and hold an AGSVA Baseline clearance.
• An AGSVA NV1 clearance or higher will be well regarded.
• A Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.

• Network Automation & Optimisation: Cisco SR-PCE (Segment Routing Path Computation Element), Cisco Crosswork Network Controller
• Data Centre Networking: Cisco Nexus Switching, NDFC Automation & Assurance
• WAN Edge Architecture: Cisco N540 Series
• Network Segmentation & Security: F5 InterVRF, BGP Communities
• Carrier-Grade Routing: Segment Routing, EVPN/MP-BGP, PCE/Route Reflectors
• Topology Design: AS-Loop Free Topology, Backbone Carrier Topology

• Cisco DNAC, Identity Services Engine (ISE), Stealthwatch Enterprise, Cisco Umbrella Web Proxy
• Wireless Networking: Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers, Outdoor Wireless Solutions
• Industrial Networking: Cisco Industrial Ethernet Switches
• SD-WAN Technologies: Cisco vManage, vAnalytics, vBond, vSmart Controllers, ISR & WAN Edge Routers
