About the role

Join the Netpoleon team as a Business Development Executive. In this full-time role based in Melbourne or Sydney, you’ll play a critical role in driving our growth by being the first point of contact for prospective customers. You will work closely with the marketing team to follow up on inbound leads, conduct outbound prospecting, and help convert marketing-qualified leads into sales-ready opportunities, meetings and events.

This role is ideal for someone who is naturally curious, confident in conversation, and motivated by results. You don’t need to be a technical expert — success in this role comes from strong communication skills, active listening, and the ability to uncover customer challenges and book high-quality meetings for our sales team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Proactively identifying and reaching out to prospective customers via phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Personalising outreach based on basic research into accounts and contacts
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions in the CRM system
  • Booking high-quality meetings for the sales team with qualified prospects and drive attendance to events
  • Working closely with sales and marketing to align messaging, campaign targeting, and lead nurturing strategies
  • Learning and confidently communicating our value proposition
  • Sharing insights and feedback to help refine messaging and campaigns

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a Sales Development or similar role (preferably in B2B environment)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address client needs
  • Comfortable with CRM platforms and familiarity with sales tools such as Apollo and Aircall. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • A team player with a collaborative mindset to refine lead quality and conversion rates
