Operational Business Intelligence Lead

Providing smart metering devices and services to over 50 energy retailers across ANZ, our reach is growing rapidly. But the true breadth of what we do goes beyond the meter, touching everything from solar to water, virtual power plants to electric vehicle charging.

You will lead and mentor the Reporting Analysts and Data Analysts, who are responsible for delivering critical operational reports that measure business performance and regulatory compliance. Together, your team will:

• Build scalable, complex and automated reporting solutions.
• Enable business units to perform self-service reporting and to extract actionable insights.
• Collaborate with IT to innovate; to evolve reporting capabilities and data management.
• Promote a collaborative, customer-centric, and high-performance team culture.
• Elevate the reporting framework to a higher level of strategic maturity and operational effectiveness

You will work closely with the broader Operations team, Supply Chain, IT, Data and Analytics team, to ensure reporting aligns with strategic and operational needs.

Your role

The Operational Business Intelligence Lead is responsible for transforming Intellihub’s operational reporting and analytics capability. This role will evolve reporting capabilities, develop the Center of Excellence for data-driven decision-making, and drive the adoption of advanced analytics including Machine Learning and AI. The Lead will oversee the delivery of high-impact reporting and analytics, and uplift data literacy and reporting maturity across the business.

Strategic Leadership

• Champion a data-driven culture and foster cross-functional collaboration.

• Develop and implement a self-service reporting framework to empower business users.

• Lead and develop the Center of Excellence for operational reporting and analytics.

Reporting & Analytics

• Oversee the delivery of reports that support regulatory compliance and operational performance.

• Improve reporting accuracy, consistency, timeliness, and relevance across business units.

• Leverage ML/AI technologies to enhance reporting insights and to automate manual tasks.

• Design and implement automated data pipelines for real-time reporting.

Capability Development

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Reporting Analysts.

• Design and deliver upskilling programs to improve data literacy and tool proficiency.

• Run knowledge sessions, build capability roadmaps, and encourage ownership and autonomy in team members.

Governance & Standards

• Drive reporting prioritisation across reporting and AI/ML demand pipeline.

• Establish standardised reporting tools, templates, and methodologies to enhance organisational reporting maturity • Collaborate with IT and data teams to ensure secure and scalable data infrastructure.

• Define and maintain data governance, quality and cybersecurity standards.

• Promote a safe and healthy work environment and contribute to continual improvement in quality and performance at Intellihub by complying with all relevant policies and procedures
