Technology is an inherent part of enabling the Reserve Bank of Australia’s policy and operational objectives. With the country depending upon our systems being secure, highly resilient and efficient, you will work within the Bank’s Information Technology (IT) department, and experience the capability-building opportunity to work with Australia’s most critical core IT platforms.

About the role

 

You will work with a team of incredibly committed and collaborative people, who are passionate about IT operational excellence. The team is made up of 10+ Operators working across both our CBD and Bella Vista offices.

As part of the role you will be working on a Continuous Shift Roster of 4 days on and 4 days off in order to run the 24/7 IT Operations Centre that manages the Australia’s critical financial systems. We uphold the initiative of Women in Tech and in lines with that encourage work life balance and operate in a hybrid working model.

About you

Flexibility to work a 4 days on/4 days off roster compromising of both day and night shifts and some weekends.

  • Bring a curious mindset, great attention to detail and a passion for a career in Information Technology
  • You will have a strong desire to learn new skills, including IT training in scripting and devops tooling, to advance your career.
  • Be able to communicate and liaise with business and IT teams and to escalate appropriately
  • A basic understanding of ITIL processes, including change and incident management is desirable
  • Experience in an IT operational support role within a high reliability organisation is advantageous (banking/finance/utilities/health are highly desirable)

Other required qualifications:

  • IT Graduate/Diploma qualifications or relevant IT industry certifications (ie. Microsoft or Red Hat)
  • ITIL Foundations (or willing to be trained in this)
