We’re looking for a visionary leader in Data Analytics and AI to help shape the future of our Retail business. With deep expertise in Advanced Analytics and Intelligent Solutions, you’ll lead a data-driven transformation that enhances customer experiences and drives strategic outcomes. This role sits within our Customer Interactions Tribe, where collaboration and creativity are at the heart of everything we do.
As Product Area Lead – Advanced Analytics and Intelligent Solutions, you’ll play a pivotal role in the Retail Bank’s leadership team, driving data-led transformation across customer journeys, product offerings, and operational excellence. Reporting to the Tribe Lead of Customer Interactions, you’ll shape and execute multi-year analytics roadmap, that embeds AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics into the heart of Retail Banking processes—from business strategies to personalisation and channel optimisation. You’ll work closely with executive stakeholders, champion innovation, and ensure measurable impact through strong governance and prioritisation.
You’ll play a hands-on role in strengthening analytics capability within Retail Banking—embedding practical tools, processes, and skills that enable smarter decisions every day. By fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, you’ll help teams confidently apply data-driven insights to real customer and operational challenges. Success will come from your ability to build trust, guide execution, and turn complex problems into clear, actionable solutions that deliver measurable impact.

What you’ll do
- Own the P&L for analytics initiatives, ensuring commercial outcomes are aligned with strategic priorities.
- Drive direct impact on delivery, overseeing execution of end-to-end analytics solutions across Retail business units.
- Develop and execute a multi-year analytics roadmap aligned to Retail Banking priorities (e.g., lending, deposits, customer engagement).
- Embed AI and machine learning models into key processes
- Translate business challenges into data-driven solutions—partnering with product, risk, and operations teams to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Act as the subject matter expert, providing thought leadership in advanced analytics, AI, and intelligent solutions.
- Be a visionary, identifying future opportunities and shaping innovative solutions that transform the business.
- Proactively suggest ideas, contributing to strategy, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
- Build seamless communication and alignment, improving processes and fostering collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
What we’re looking for
- Strategic and visionary leader who can shape future-focused analytics solutions and drive transformation across the Retail business.
- Deep technical expertise in descriptive analytics, as well as advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning, with hands-on proficiency in tools like Python, R, SQL, and cloud platforms (e.g. GCP, Azure).
- Proven experience in end-to-end delivery of data based solutions
- Proven experience as a manager of managers, with the ability to lead senior analytics professionals while remaining hands-on with delivery and tools.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, able to influence executive decision-making and foster seamless alignment across teams.
- Commercial acumen with ownership of P&L, ensuring analytics initiatives deliver measurable business impact and align with strategic priorities.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in data science, analytics, and business transformation, with a track record of delivering high-impact solutions across complex
