The opportunity

We have a new opportunity to join our Agency Partnerships team as Partnership Manager. In this role you will support the Senior Manager and be accountable in the delivery of effective and efficient customer service for our underwriting agency business partners, to achieve growth and an underwriting profit.

Your new role

In this new role, you will:

  • Support the development and implementation of strategies to ensure the strong performance of the Agency portfolio
  • Support identifying and developing plans to attract new agency partners
  • Conduct regular performance monitoring and portfolio management responsibilities 
  • Develop strong networks and relationships with internal key stakeholders
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with your Agency partners
  • Review portfolio results and performance, identifying trends and opportunities
  • Develop recommendations and implement corrective action as necessary
  • Focus on Risk, Governance and Regulatory compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all personal accreditation levels and regulatory requirements
  • Have a deep understanding of current market conditions
  • Foster strong relationships within the insurance market, and represent the company with external parties
  • Role modelling QBE’s values and leadership capabilities

About you

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Broad knowledge of insurance/business development function
  • Previous experience in intermediary insurance, cover holder management & underwriting would be highly regarded
  • Financial acumen
  • Working knowledge of risk management processes
  • Strong influencing and communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to deliver on agreed key focus areas
  • Working knowledge of P&L, portfolio and other financial metrics
  • Working knowledge of risk management processes, performance management and analysis of systems and process
  • Strong work ethic and working within a team environment
  • Performance driven with a desire to develop personally
  • Be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
