Partnership Manager - Financial Standard and Money

OVERVIEW
The Partnership Manager will plan, manage and coordinate advertising and promotional campaigns across an assigned territory for both Financial Standard and Money. He/she will develop relationships with existing clients’ and solicit new business by presenting proposals or pitches in collaboration with other members of the publishing hierarchy. A focus on KPI achievement and revenue generation is central to the role as is a focus on the client relationship and overall customer satisfaction.
The Partnership Manager will communicate directly with clients’ and prospects within an assigned territory. He/she will understand their individual needs and recommend appropriate media placements that maximize value and contribute to bottom line revenues for the Financial Standard and Money brand(s). The role will assist in developing sales strategies and creating detailed business plans to facilitate the attainment of company-wide goals. The Partnership Manager should be adaptable and knowledgeable, acting as a key point of reference for clients’ transacting with the company within as assigned remit.
Collaboration with other departments is crucial to the role, particularly where custom requests, data input and new product development influence client outcomes. The role is expected to proactively update internal CRM systems and analyze account data, providing accurate predictions to management.
As a full time, member of the media sales team, the Partnership Manager will be required to support the team across major agency pitches, complex brief responses and statistic/data-based requests as they arise. The Partnership Manager will assist in driving incremental revenue into new and existing accounts by leveraging relationships to secure new business.
Creativity and vision, outstanding communication skills and a solid time management ethos will ensure success in the role coupled with an ability to develop professional relationships and deliver exceptional responses to an expected standard.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet and liaise with clients to discuss and identify their advertising requirements.
Devise advertising campaigns that meet the client's brief and budgets.
Actively work on major pitches, alongside the broader team, with the aim of securing new business.
Present campaign ideas and strategies to the client within a given territory. Provide strategic advice and recommendations for the same.
Effectively manage a successful sales pipeline, clearly demonstrating how you will prospect, engage and close accounts.
Proactively manage a CRM, making note of significant client interactions, threats and opportunities.
Provide business updates to the Editor and/or Publisher on a regular basis to demonstrate upcoming areas of interest for their business.
Liaise with, and act as the link between, the client and the advertising agency by maintaining regular contact with both.
Employ networking techniques and attend industry events to attract new advertisers.
Monitor the effectiveness of campaigns.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Media, Economics or similar field.
Has at least 2 years’ experience in Media Sales, Media Planning, Media Strategy or Advertising Revenue Generation
Strong experience working with large enterprise/B2B clients/consumer media environment (ideally Fortune 500).
Proven track record in managing complex, multi-platform sales a demonstrative sales conversion rate.
Proven track record of hitting annual and quarterly sales and revenue targets.
Has the ability to identify client pain points, can facilitate, negotiate and close sales.
Possesses a strong new business development focus
Strong influencing and oral and written communication skills.
Passionate about selling, converting and winning
Prior experience with Salesforce preferred.
