OVERVIEW

ISS STOXX is hiring! We are looking for an Account Manager - Agency Sales to join our Media Sales team based in Sydney, Australia. The Account Manager plays a key client‑facing role, responsible for managing and growing relationships with agencies and direct clients. This role focuses on understanding client needs, presenting thoughtful commercial solutions, and ensuring successful delivery across advertising, content, and event opportunities. Account managers work closely with editorial, marketing, and sales operations, acting as the central liaison between internal stakeholders and the client. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is proactive, commercially minded, and eager to grow in a fast‑paced media environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Client & Account Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for agency and direct clients, maintaining regular communication and building strong relationships.

  • Understand client needs, identify pain points, and recommend effective advertising and content solutions.

  • Present ideas, proposals, and strategic recommendations that align with client objectives and brand guidelines.

  • Monitor campaign performance and communicate outcomes, insights, and next steps.

B. Commercial & Sales Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a healthy sales pipeline, clearly demonstrating prospecting, engagement, and opportunity conversion.

  • Develop premium revenue solutions across print and digital channels.

  • Support major pitches and new business efforts alongside the wider team.

  • Work with the Commercial Director on commercial strategy and vertical/category planning.

  • Ensure sales targets (quarterly and annual) are met or exceeded.

  • Negotiate opportunities and liaise with internal teams to deliver commercially viable outcomes.

C. Internal Collaboration & Strategic Input

  • Serve as the commercial expert for the brand portfolio, representing the brands with senior agency and client stakeholders when required.

  • Provide regular business updates to internal teams (e.g., operations, marketing, editorial), highlighting upcoming opportunities and client insights.

  • Operate collaboratively in a solutions‑focused environment, contributing to business planning and yield/volume strategies.

  • Ensure that CRM (e.g., Salesforce) is consistently updated with interactions, opportunities, threats, and progress.

D. Networking & Market Engagement

  • Attend industry events, build networks, and actively identify new clients and partnership opportunities.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive activity, and category insights to support strategic recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Media, Communications, or related fields.

  • Has at least 2–4 years of experience in media sales, account management, media planning/strategy, or advertising solutions.

  • Experience working with enterprise or B2B clients/Consumer media; Fortune 500 exposure    preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑platform advertising or sponsorship solutions across digital, print, and event environments.

  • Proven record of meeting revenue targets and converting sales opportunities.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, including proposal deck writing.

  • Comfort working in fast‑paced, high‑growth environment with high levels of autonomy.

  • Salesforce experience preferred.

  • Creative, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow.
