Job Summary
Cash Management Solutions is an integral part of J.P. Morgan's Payments business. The Product Manager role supports payments product solutions, including Automated Clearing House, Wires, real-time payments, FX, and liquidity services. The position involves working closely with business partners across J.P. Morgan-such as internal technology, operations, client service payments partners, third-party providers, and local regulators-to deliver the right mix of cash and short-term investment products to the Payments client base.
As a member of the Australia & New Zealand Product Management team, the role drives the execution of product strategy and supports the ongoing development of the product suite. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day product management activities, delivering product development projects, and collaborating with sales teams to address client needs. The role also involves ensuring consistency in product offerings, considering market trends, risk, legal, and compliance requirements specific to Australia & New Zealand, and supporting the successful delivery of the payments strategy across the region.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide product subject matter expertise on local market payment operations, product processes, and emerging trends.
- Maintain product compliance with regulations, product management frameworks, and firm control standards, including completion of product reviews.
- Coordinate systems and operations to ensure product queries are investigated and resolved effectively.
- Manage product pricing support, analysis, and recommendations.
- Monitor product performance metrics, conduct P&L analysis, and deliver regular performance insights, trends, and analysis.
- Work with Risk and Control partners to address potential risks of existing or new product offerings (e.g., participate in product risk assessment/testing, New Business Initiative Assessment, address audit queries, process enhancements).
- Provide strong product ownership and support to payments project initiatives applicable to Australia & New Zealand.
- Work closely with Operations to understand existing system behaviors and identify changes or fixes required for consistent product performance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders-including Sales, Service, Operations, Technology, Risk, Legal, and Compliance-to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and ensure consistent product performance.
- Provide subject matter expertise to support sales teams in meeting client needs and achieving growth objectives.
- Provide local analysis to support regional initiatives and projects.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Minimum 5 years of transactional banking experience ideally with a global financial institution.
- Payables and receivables product knowledge.
- Practical experience managing cross-border, high-value, and low-value payment products-domestically within Australia and/or other international markets.
- Proven experience in the operation of payments products, demonstrated through product implementation, operational oversight, or product management responsibilities.
- Team player; able to work with limited supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including good decision-making and multi-tasking abilities.
- Strong skills in Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Proven capacity to prioritize, organize, and oversee deliverables autonomously.
- Focus on accountability, action, and outcomes to ensure solutions meet/exceed client needs while aligning business deliverables to the firm's mission and goals.
