About this opportunity:

The Payroll Operations Specialist will be supporting a team of 2 Payroll Officers, reporting to the Payroll Manager. This role will be working within the Johnson Controls group ensuring the ongoing administering process with all company payrolls are delivered promptly.

                                                                                                                                       

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day Payroll Operational ANZ support as directed by the Payroll Supervisor to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time

  • Maintain documentation of app payroll-related processes, procedures, checklists, calendars and sure they are updated periodically

  • Ensure all statutory an non-statutory remittances/payments are made accurately and on time, in accordance with the Payroll Calendars for All AU Payrolls

  • Ensure date integrity is maintained in the Payroll Systems. Payroll transactions are processes efficiently with minimal error and in compliance with appropriate country requirements

  • Administer Payroll processes in collecting, calculating, and entering data in order to maintain and update Payroll information and postings in line with country requirements

  • Compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, insurances, non-taxable wages with reporting as applicable

  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and reconciliations

  • Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures

  • Developing ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed

  • Responsible in completing and involvement with all month end and year end processes / tasks

  • Responsible for accurate and timely submission of Single Touch Payroll / Pay Day Filing

  • Responsible for timely and accurate filing of all Payroll and Employee Masterfile records

  • Liaise directly with third party vendor/s in managing of business relationship role that ensures smooth & timely delivery of all operating payroll's

  • Respond in a timely and professional manner on all employee queries regarding all facets of payroll, accounting and business reporting, problem solving

  • Support Payroll Supervisor with any other ad-hoc payroll duties as required from time to time

  • Support project activities relating to the migration of specified ANZ Payroll System Databases

  • Keep abreast of changing regulatory requirements "best practices" at country level

  • Demonstrate strong time management and ability to meet deadlines;

  • Demonstrate high level attention to detail and accuracy, solid grasp of mathematics, excellent organisational and communication skills

  • High degree of professionalism and discretion given the confidential nature of the role

Who we are looking for:

  • 5 years of experience in AU Payroll/HR Operations

  • Experience in interpreting Awards and EBAs

  • Experience in Chris21, Ramco, Workday/MS CRM Dynamics

  • Experience working within a Union Collective environment

  • Payroll certification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Finance, Business or any related field/s
