Your primary focus will be ensuring payroll runs smoothly and efficiently. You’ll handle day-to-day payroll activities, resolve complex issues, and provide practical solutions to make sure our team is paid accurately and on time. In this role you will:

  • Prepare payroll in line with internal procedures, ensuring payments are calculated and paid accurately and on time.
  • Process and maintain fortnightly payroll, verifying all data is correct and paid promptly.
  • Monitor and resolve timesheet and schedule discrepancies to ensure alignment with payroll cycles.
  • Support integration between WFM, WorkDay (HRIS), and Dayforce (Payroll), ensuring accurate timesheet and leave data.
  • Interpret and apply relevant legislation, Awards, and Enterprise Agreements, offering guidance across People & Culture and the wider business.
  • Investigate payroll errors, implement prevention controls, and contribute to risk management activities, including RCSA and maintenance of controls.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ payroll experience in organisations with over 1,000 employees
  • Proven expertise in time and attendance systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll legislation, including taxation, superannuation, and leave entitlements
  • Extensive experience with payroll systems (Ceridian Dayforce or similar highly desirable)
  • Exceptional English communication skills, with a practical and customer-focused approach
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and time management abilities, with advanced Excel skills
