IDEXX is seeking a Payroll Specialist with depth of experience across the whole end to end payroll process. This role is part-time and 4 days pers week, but we may consider full-time for the right candidate. What you can expect

  • As part of a team of two you will be responsible for managing all aspects of an end-to-end fortnightly payroll for our employees across Australia & New Zealand

  • You will be supporting our employees and responding promptly to payroll queries across the region

  • You will ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies

  • You will be preparing payroll reports as required for internal and external reporting

  • You will be preparing journals, reconciliations and supporting the business with any audit and compliance activities

  • You will be collaborating with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure payroll accuracy and efficiency

  • You will be responsible for contributing to continuous improvement activities through streamlining, automation and best practice

  • You will be responsible for continuously identifying opportunities for improvement within the payroll function and drive projects to enhance efficiency and accuracy to support the strategic direction of the ANZ payroll team

The Successful Candidate

  • A minimum of 7+ years payroll experience within a medium to large organization

  • Recent experience using Micropay is must

  • Experience with a time and attendance system is a must

  • A sound knowledge of Australian and New Zealand payroll and HR legislation

  • Exposure to award/IR payroll and variable pay provisions

  • A proactive attitude and an ability to learn processes quickly

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects

  • An organisation guru, with a high attention to detail and an urgency to meet deadlines, as well as the ability to have a strategic focus.
