About the role (What you'll be doing)
  • End-to-end payroll processing for multiple Australian payrolls in Employment Hero (KeyPay) including STP reports and submissions (approximately 220 people)
  • Ensure superannuation, PAYG, Payroll Tax, Workers’ Compensation is lodged in a compliant and timely manner
  • Ongoing maintenance of employee records: onboarding, offboarding, internal transfers and contract variations
  • Stay up to date with legislative and system updates (we have a membership with APA) and support training
  • Handle payroll queries professionally and efficiently
  • Support global payroll processing team as required
  • Conduct compliance reviews and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop, document and streamline payroll processes for Australia 
  • Support ad hoc payroll projects as required
About you (Who you are)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly in payroll accounting
  • Must have experience running end-to-end Australian payroll (4+ years’ experience)
  • Excel or Google Sheets skills; experience with payroll software and databases
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail, delivering accurate, high-quality work consistently
  • Strong time management, prioritisation, and multitasking skills
  • Effective communicator with a commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines within a team-oriented environment
  • Desire to improve process and enhance experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems, Employment Hero, Deputy, or HiBob.
  • Familiarity with multi-company payroll structures.
  • Experience on payroll accounting or payroll analysis in Australia, APAC, or EMEA regions is a plus.
  • Experience with award interpretation and experience administering options is not a must but an advantage
