Monks is seeking an experienced Performance Lead to spearhead our performance department.
In this role, you will set and drive the strategic direction for the team, collaborate with sales to secure new clients, and report directly to the Media Department Head.

Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive performance media strategy that aligns with overall business goals.
- Present quarterly business reviews and findings to senior leadership, providing recommendations to scale impact.
- Drive Monks’ new business development strategy for Managed Media and associated services through events, PR, and social media (eg. LinkedIn), and content (both Monks’ website and external)
- Show expert grasp of relevant commercials with respect to both strategic and technical elements of all relevant products and services.
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing media team; foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Build and lead a high-performing media team, instilling a culture of strategic thinking, accountability, and innovation.
- Establish processes for campaign execution, optimization, and reporting to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Influence major brand by implementing, influencing and help creating our proprietary tech stack and methodologies
- Through continual process improvement and supervision of outputs, ensure errors and platform credits are kept at a minimum.
- Be responsible and/or consulted (depending on client agreements) for managed media billing processes, issues, and partnership agreements across all managed media platforms.
- Define KPIs and success metrics (e.g., MQL to SQL conversion, pipeline contribution, ROI) for integrated campaigns and field programs.
- Use analytics and insights to iterate on strategies, optimize campaign performance, and forecast future marketing investments.
- Oversee media budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across channels with a focus on ROI.
- Build and maintain key media relationships to support the managed media practice as well as key channels such as search, programmatic and social
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to align media initiatives with broader business objectives.
- Collaborate with C-suite and departmental leaders to ensure media initiatives support broader business strategies and objectives.
What you bring to it:
- 8+ years of digital marketing experience, ideally from agencies or brand side
- Strong understanding and experience in performance media platforms such as Social and Search
- Strong grasp of the overall digital consultancy space, including but not limited to knowledge of Media.Monks competitive set and their offerings across data and digital media.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders ranging from C-suite through to platform SMEs.
- Strong analytical and consulting skills, rooted in the ability to draw and communicate insights from multiple data points.
- Strong data analysis capabilities, with an ability to unearth actionable insights using a range of platforms and tools
- Ambition to perform unprecedented tasks and obtain new skills, be comfortable with uncertainty and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Ability and desire to scale knowledge and facilitate learning amongst team members
