Job Description

The Claims Policy & Communications Specialist develops, maintains, and implements top-tier collateral and procedures to support claims handling and settlement, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role is key in delivering relevant, high-quality knowledge resources that adapt to the evolving needs of the business and regulatory environment.

In this role you will:

  • Develop, maintain, and implement best-in-class collateral to support claims handling and settlement, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and brand standards.
  • Lead the creation and upkeep of policies, procedures, and guidelines that support efficient claims assessment and handling.
  • Oversee internal claims policies and processes to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and TAL's claims philosophy.
  • Manage projects aimed at improving TAL's compliance with regulatory obligations and enhancing customer service.
  • Foster strong stakeholder relationships to deliver the highest level of service to customers while providing subject matter expertise on claims policy and practices.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Life Insurance Claims, or similar role with exposure to correspondence, guideline or procedure drafting.
  • Well-developed self-management skills including planning, prioritising and time management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines in a professional manner.
  • An enthusiastic approach to work and willingness to help with tasks at hand.
