Come shape the future of education with us.

At Compass, we’re on a mission to transform the school day for everyone - from staff and students to families and administrators, we build smart, seamless technology that empowers schools to focus on what really matters: learning, growing, and thriving.

That mission has fuelled our growth into a global scale-up, now supporting over 5,000+ schools across three countries, backed by a team of 300+ people. Our all-in-one school management platform is redefining how education communities connect, communicate, and operate.

We’re now looking for a Pre-Sales Consultant to join our Acquisition team, partnering with the Sales team to understanding customer problems, shape solution narratives and perform demos through the sales cycle.

This is a highly customer-facing role that blends technical fluency with strong communication and a deep understanding of school operations and the Compass product. You’ll work side-by-side with our Sales Reps on early to mid-stage and complex opportunities to improve discovery quality, deal execution, and solution clarity, enabling Sales to confidently position Compass while ensuring a smooth handover from sales to implementation.

If you love being customer-facing, care deeply about quality, and enjoy turning technical capability into real-world impact, we'd love to hear from you.

What you’ll do:

Discovery & Deal Support

  • Partner closely with sellers on active opportunities as an embedded deal support resource.
  • Join customer meetings alongside sellers to support discovery, solution framing, and value articulation.
  • Reinforce consistent discovery, messaging, and demo standards across the sales team.

Demo Support & Delivery

  • Perform and support customer demos in partnership with sellers, tailoring demo flows and scenarios to specific customer use cases/ requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of demo portals, assets and processes.
  • Collaborate with Solutions and Product on more complex demos or technical questions as needed.
  • Track, analyse and report on monthly demo metrics, including demo volume, outcomes, product gaps, to provide visibility into demo effectiveness to the sales and leadership teams.

RFP & Tooling Management

  • Partner with sellers to support RFPs, RFIs, and tender submissions.
  • Ensure consistency, clarity, and quality across RFP responses.
  • Own the ongoing optimisation of RFP and demo tooling (e.g. Vendict and Consensus), ensuring content libraries remain current, accurate and aligned with Compass product capabilities.

Sales Team Enablement

  • Enable Sales team to confidently position Compass by providing guidance on technical fit and limitations across different school sectors and types.
  • Develop and maintain sales and demo assets, including discovery qualifying checklists, solution one-pagers.

  • Strong discovery skills, blending commercial understanding with deep product knowledge.
  • Experience partnering with sellers on live deals, including customer-facing demos and end-to-end deal support.
  • Experience supporting RFPs, RFIs or tender responses in a B2B environment.
  • A structured, analytical, problem-led approach, with confidence operating in complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
