Department Overview
The Pre-Sales Engineering team works hand-in-hand with the Sales Organization and our customers. Our engineers assess customer business requirements and provide innovative communications solutions that make a difference in the moments that matter. The Pre-Sales Engineering team has the technology, architecture and design responsibility for all systems sales support engagements nationwide.
Job Description

As a PreSales Architect, you will undertake high level engineering tasks (such as Solution Design, System Architecture Design, High Level Designs and Detail Designs) in support of major system opportunities. The PreSales Architect will have ownership of the solution’s technical design and support the account team in developing and securing opportunities. In this role, you will be expected to issue and conduct end-to-end management of solutions and designs during the tender/pre-sales phase. You will work closely with other PreSales Engineers/TAs, Customer, Account Team, Bid Management and SI Planning to discover business requirements and customer needs in order to deliver competitive solutions and execute on the scope of responsibilities.


Basic Requirements
  • 10 years in involvement with a wide range of radio and IP communications solutions including their architecture design, specification and implementation
  • Extensive experience in Solution Management, PreSales Engineering, Technical Sales and/or customer relationship management
  • Experience in influencing technical customer requirements throughout the sales process
  • Strong general knowledge of wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data/application architectures and solutions, particularly in the public safety market
  • Knowledge of specific 2-way radio technologies (i.e. Tetra, P25), communication application solutions in Public Safety, Command Centre Applications, mobile video, VMS, cloud architectures, RF coverage predictions, traffic/capacity modeling,and related toolsets
