The Opportunity:

As a Pricing Analyst you will play a crucial role in driving the financial and commercial success of ADSS by designing, maintaining, and evaluating pricing models across proposals, contracts, and strategic initiatives. Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, the role is responsible for generating financial inputs and delivering end-to-end pricing support—including requirement analysis, data preparation, outcome modelling, gate review coordination, and bid submission. Success in this role requires strong analytical acumen, meticulous attention to detail, and effective collaboration across finance, operations, and business development.

This position is a Permanent, Full-Time opportunity and can be based in any of the following locations:

  • Melbourne
  • Canberra
  • Sydney
  • Brisbane
  • Adelaide

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain pricing models for new business proposals and contract renewals.
  • Analyse cost structures, labour rates, and market benchmarks to ensure pricing is both competitive and compliant.
  • Generate financial inputs in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams for commercial tenders.
  • Support the full pricing lifecycle including analysis of requirements, data preparation, modelling of outcomes, gate review process, and bid submission.
  • Provide pricing insights and recommendations to leadership for strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Capture Management, Commercial, and Program Management teams to align pricing with strategic goals.
  • Identify pricing risks and mitigation strategies, and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
  • Maintain proposal documentation and pricing records in SharePoint and other internal systems.
  • Other reasonable tasks as assigned relevant to this appointment, skill set and experience.
     

Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or cost estimation.
  • Advanced Excel and cost modelling skills; experience with pricing tools and ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong understanding of government contracting and cost estimation principles.
  • Solid problem solving skills and persistence in the face of obstacles.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships at all levels
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to obtain a Defence Security Clearance.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of CASG/Defence/Aus Government pricing and procurement policies
  • Exposure to proposal lifecycle management and pricing compliance reviews.
