🐾 About Fetch

Fetch is how modern pet parents give their pets the best care 🐶🐱. One pink app 🩷 for insurance, health, and care – easy, fair, and kinda fun. We’ve raised our Series A from Lightspeed and Airtree, customers love us (rated #1 by Choice Magazine!), and we’re growing fast.

We're looking for a Pricing Analyst to keep Fetch’s pricing fit for sustainable growth - so millions of pets get smarter, faster, fairer care. This is not a traditional actuarial role. It's for a high-agency, commercially minded analyst who moves fast, thinks from first principles, and uses AI to work at a level that wouldn't have been possible a few years ago.

  • Location: Sydney (Hybrid – Tue/Wed/Thu in-office)

  • Compensation: Series A salary + meaningful equity upside

  • Tooling: Python, SQL, R, BigQuery, Hex, Claude Code - whatever you need to move fast

🚀 What you’ll do

You'll work to keep Fetch's prices sharp, working across pricing end-to-end you’ll be responsible for driving meaningful outcomes.

  • 🔍 Turn data into fresh insights and smart pricing decisions - ruthlessly testing, always questioning the current model and never stopping looking for the edge

  • 💡 Help set Fetch's prices across the board, collaborating with product, growth, ops, and tech

  • 🚀 Own the full pricing lifecycle from idea and analysis through to launch and ongoing monitoring and optimisation

  • 📈 Track and analyse portfolio performance and build monitoring tools and feedback loops that keep us learning fast

  • 🗣️ Be the voice of pricing in cross-functional initiatives while protecting our rating integrity

🧠 About you

Numbers, patterns, and probabilities are just how you see the world and you've got a background in actuarial science, computer science, or applied maths to back it up.

You're endlessly curious. You question assumptions, challenge defaults, and find smarter ways to price with the judgement to balance risk, fairness, and commercial outcomes.

You move fast, go deep, and never wait to be asked. You're data hungry, obsessed with getting a better model, and relentless about finding the edge.

  • 2+ years in pricing, actuarial, or analytics roles, ideally within personal insurance

  • Fluent in Python, SQL, or R - you pick the right tool for the job

  • Strong understanding of pricing fundamentals

  • You care about the business problem, not just the model - challenging assumptions and pushing for outcomes over output

  • Clear communicator - you can take complex pricing logic and make it land with product, growth, and leadership

  • Bonus - you've played with AI tools like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot to accelerate your work

  • Bonus - you've worked with unstructured data and just really love pets 🐶🐱

💖 What it’s like here

We’re ambitious, collaborative, and genuinely enjoy building together.

  • 🧠 You'll have a lot of autonomy to be brave and try your ideas

  • 🤪 Weird is welcome. We value unexpected perspectives and people who think differently, so just be you

  • 🤖 Unlimited AI tooling - no token limits or approvals needed. Just experiment and learn

  • 🩷 Work on a product genuinely loved by thousands of pets and pet parents

  • 🚀 We're growing FAST. It's an exciting time to join and you'll directly impact the future of pet health

And the perks:

  • 📈 Competitive Series A salary + meaningful equity

  • 🏠 Hybrid working (3 days Sydney office, flexible WFH)

  • 💻 Latest MacBook Pro and a top setup

  • ✈️ Two team retreats each year (Blue Mountains, SXSW, Hunter Valley)

  • 🐶 Office dogs for cuddles and interruptions

  • 🍫 Bean to cup coffee machine, unlimited fruit and snacks. Toblerone on-tap
