Autodesk is seeking a Principal Salesforce Engineer with strong AWS and Sales Cloud experience to join our high-impact Enterprise Business Support Operations team. You’ll be a hands-on technical leader, responsible for building robust, scalable, and integrated Salesforce solutions that support our global sales operations and enterprise workflows.
This is a pivotal role for a seasoned Principal Engineer and AWS practitioner who can bridge the gap between business needs and scalable technology. You will lead architectural discussions, solve complex business problems with clean and maintainable code, and coach team members while working across global teams and multiple time zones.
Salesforce Architecture & Development
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, LWC, and Flows.
- Own end-to-end design for complex business processes including lead routing, opportunity management, and approval workflows.
- Develop scalable and secure Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and third-party platforms.
- Architect and build integrations between Salesforce and AWS services .
- Utilize Python and scripting tools for automation, custom connectors, and orchestration.
- Act as a technical partner to Sales, translating operational needs into sustainable and scalable Salesforce and AWS solutions.
- Own and improve the process of incident triage, request management, and resolution of data sync issues or workflow failures.
- Implement tactical solutions and lead long-term improvements across platforms.
- Ensure data integrity, access controls, and compliance with internal security and external regulations.
- Manage access to Salesforce dashboards, reports, and integrated AWS environments in line with governance policies.
- Mentor junior developers and support onboarding through documentation and knowledge-sharing.
- Lead cross-functional project teams involving admins, analysts, and third-party vendors.
- Collaborate globally with peers, business stakeholders, and technical leaders to drive end-to-end project success.
- Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of systems, data models, workflows, and integrations.
- Facilitate training sessions and enablement for Salesforce users and developers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer II, Application Architect, System Architect).
- 9+ years of experience in Salesforce development, including at least 5+ years in complex integrated enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Salesforce partner ecosystem.
- Proficiency in Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and declarative tools (Flows, Workflow Rules, Process Builder).
- Deep experience with Salesforce integrations, ETL/data migration, and DevOps practices (CI/CD).
- Working experience with AWS services: Lambda, SQS, CloudWatch, and integration patterns with Salesforce.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation or integration.
- Knowledge of data security, role-based access control, and SOX/compliance in enterprise platforms.
- Experience with Customer Success Management or related sales-supporting systems.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with distributed global teams.
