Are you an experienced marine consultant looking for a role where your expertise drives impactful, sustainable outcomes? ERM, the world’s largest sustainability advisory firm, is looking for a Principal Marine Consultant with 10+ years of experience to lead environmental approvals for major offshore energy and carbon capture projects.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with industry leaders, manage complex approvals, and guide clients through high-profile projects that shape the future of offshore energy and sustainability. With access to ERM’s global Impact Assessment Technical Community, you’ll work on both local and international projects that make a difference.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead environmental impact assessments and complex approvals processes.
  • Manage projects within scope, budget, and quality standards.
  • Develop technical proposals and strengthen client relationships through business development.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level consultants to build their expertise in environmental approvals.
  • Foster collaboration within ERM’s multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional results.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in Marine Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or similar.
  • 10+ years of experience in environmental approvals, particularly with offshore projects.
  • Strong understanding of Commonwealth and State environmental legislation.
  • Broader experience in environmental management and stakeholder engagement is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain client relationships.
  • Strong written, verbal, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Authorisation to work in Australia.
