The Principal Marketing Specialist is a highly skilled subject matter expert, responsible for coordinating and managing of all aspects of marketing.
This role is responsible for the development of marketing campaigns, targeted programs, internal and external communications, partner marketing, sales content and/or pipeline development activities.
The Principal Marketing Specialist may coach and mentor less experienced members of the Marketing team.
- Manages the development and execution of marketing campaigns.
- Provides expertise on the development and maintenance of the marketing activity calendar and supporting information.
- Ensures that marketing activities align, overlaps are minimized and that these activities are communicated as outlined by the marketing calendar.
- Supports the marketing activity owners to perform the readiness planning that ensures that all stakeholders understand the campaign mechanisms, timing, requirements and metrics.
- Manages development of targeted demand generation programs that are unique, relevant and executable by the assigned business units.
- Manages information load being distributed to marketing and communications teams.
- Works with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure the delivery of efficient service.
- Manages delivery of content, tools and materials for internal and external communications.
- Engages in and facilitates sales enablement activities that create alignment between sales, marketing and key partners.
- Works cross functionally to ensure that sales enablement components feature prominently in all relevant communications.
- Ensures that all marketing activities related to sales enablement are obtained via the existing and recommended or relevant channels.
- Manages programs that contribute to partners committing investment for incremental marketing activities or resources in the appropriate areas.
- Provides expertise on the development of marketing collateral that enable sales and generate interest, including contributing to bid and proposal content.
- Provides expertise on the development of case studies on key projects, and clients that help drive credibility and interest in organizational services.
- Coaches, mentors and provides guidance to less experienced members of the team.
- Performs any other related task as required.
- Extended knowledge and understanding of all relevant industry standards.
- Extended knowledge and understanding of best practices for marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to be influential and persuasive with stakeholders.
- Excellent ability to interact with a variety of internal team members at different levels in the organization.
- Demonstrates good understanding of the features and benefit of the company’s products and services.
- Extended understanding how databases are utilized in effective marketing.
- Excellent ability to articulate company's value proposition.
- Excellent ability to work with and manage many projects within the required deadlines.
- Extended awareness of data privacy and compliance as they relate to marketing activities.
- Extended knowledge of A/B testing principles and tools to optimize marketing campaigns by experimenting with different variations.
- Extended understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles and tools to improve website and landing page conversions.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing Management or related field.
- Extended demonstrated experience in all aspects of marketing.
- Extended demonstrated experience with marketing service delivery software.
- Extended demonstrated experience with a wide variety of computer software, hardware, and peripherals, including Microsoft 365.
