The role

We are currently seeking a talented and industry recognised Principal Pavement Engineer that will work in our Transport Group to deliver major transport infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand. This will be a senior role that will also focus on mentoring and managing our complement of developing engineers in our national pavements team.

As this is a national role, we are open to the position being based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

With a minimum of 15 year’s industry experience in planning, concept and detailed pavement engineering design, you will play a key role in delivering major road & highway projects across our portfolio of projects.

With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change, attract clients and play an influential role with new work opportunities. 

Suitable applicants will have/be:

  • Degree qualified – Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering or similar)
  • Min 15 years’ technical experience and knowledge of the Australian pavement design standards and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with public and private sector clients
  • Sound project management and hands-on experience, encompassing administrative, commercial and technical aspects.
  • Experience in the co-ordination, design and delivery of pavement projects within multi-disciplinary engineering projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to prepare and or review technical reports
  • Work effectively in a team environment
