Do the work that matters

As a Principal Solution Architect, you will provide technical thought leadership to lead the re-imagination of the experiences for Business Banking customers. You will deliver solution architectures that progresses the roadmap set within Business Lending. As a Principal, you are a go to point for Solution Architects and Senior Solution Architects in the Business Banking domain.

You will be a senior member of a team that defines technical solutions for Business Banking Technology, partnering with Enterprise Architecture and Engineering. You will ensure our technology solutions align with the Group Technology Strategy and deliver on our customer focused goals.

The Business Banking Solution Architecture team is responsible for the architecture and design of solutions that support business banking customers.

In this role you will:

  • Define and articulate the Strategy Roadmap within Business Banking
  • Develop strategic programs of work, including proof of concept developments
  • Provide mentoring and technical direction to others
  • Use strong interdisciplinary understanding of platform architectures to deliver systems that are seamlessly integrated, comply with technical requirements and deliver for the business
  • Provide solution direction and oversight on major programs of technology change in the space
  • Identify, develop and recommend solutions to business or technical problems and drive support for recommendations and gain endorsement in stakeholder forums
  • Work directly with key project stakeholders to ensure solutions are optimally defined to achieve business and strategic goals

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

  • Highly experienced in delivering complex and high value solutions while balancing complex stakeholder needs
  • Developed a deep understanding of the business banking domain
  • Proven in delivering technical solutions with complex integration patterns and platforms
  • Able to set and drive solution oversight and governance on major programs of technology change
  • Technically sound in Security by Design principles
  • Proven in delivering solutions that meet high targets in performance, availability, data integrity and security domains

Tech skills:

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We do not expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these, or a willingness to learn these skillsets (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team!
