The Opportunity
Seeking a talented and versatile Process Analyst with a strong focus on claims processes to join our team on a short-term assignment to help in improving business processes and documentation within our Claims operations, specifically linked to the recent reviews regarding the 2022 Flood Enquiry.
Your new role
In this critical role, working closely with the team, you will bring your claims expertise and be responsible for improving Elders claims operations business processes and documentation, specifically in response to recommendations delivered from recent flood enquiry reviews.
Key accountabilities include:
- Manage program of works to support business problem resolution to evaluate changes, analyse and map claims processes. Collaborate with teams to lead process improvements to enhance claims handling and customer satisfaction and analyse claims reports to determine if they meet recommendations outlined in the recent flood enquiry.
- Refine current SOPs for claims management and produce clear documentation for new processes, review training materials and collaborate with claims subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Act as a liaison between Elders Insurance claims team, subject matter experts, and staff to ensure smooth communication of claims process changes, updates, procedures and performance expectations.
- Support claims handlers in understanding and implementing process improvements, develop and deliver presentations or workshops to explain complex processes to stakeholders.
- Prioritise workload to balance and escalate conflicting demands to achieve agreed deadlines
- Keep updated on industry regulations, best practices, and emerging trends in claims management to ensure processes and training programs are current and ensure all process changes and documentation comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal quality assurance measures
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have a good understanding of claims operation and able to demonstrate strategic thinking by prioritising and balancing multiple tasks. Working in an agile collaborative environment, you will have proven experience in designing business analysis approaches and critiquing documents. Able to engage collaboratively to resolve issues, challenging requirements and being proactive and efficient in capturing and documenting requirements
You will have:
- Proven experience in process analysis or process improvement, preferably within a claims or insurance environment
- Experience in creating clear and concise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training materials, and documentation
- Strong understanding of claims processes, workflows, and industry regulations
- Proficiency with process mapping tools, MS Office tools, and understanding of PowerBI report development and usage
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, along with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
