Job Description
ACCIONA Agua is a global leader in sustainable water solutions, delivering innovative and efficient water treatment, desalination, and wastewater management projects. Our mission is to shape a better world through responsible water management and cutting-edge engineering.
We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Process Engineers with a strong background in Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to support the design and delivery of complex water infrastructure projects across South Australia.
This role is critical in supporting both the tender and delivery phases of major desalination and advanced water treatment projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with sustainability goals.
Process Design & Documentation
Develop and maintain high-quality P&IDs for large-scale water treatment and desalination projects.
Support conceptual and detailed process design activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives and industry standards.
Collaborate with senior engineers to integrate emerging technologies and optimise treatment processes.
Project Execution & Coordination
Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including design reports, procurement specifications, and commissioning plans.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure design integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
Support vendor engagement and equipment selection processes.
Stakeholder Engagement
Participate in technical discussions with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
Contribute to design reviews and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
Maintain clear and accurate documentation to support project transparency and compliance.
Required Skills and Competencies
Qualifications & Skills
Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering (or related discipline).
3+ years of experience in process engineering, with a focus on P&IDs and PFDs.
Experience working on water infrastructure projects (desalination, wastewater, or advanced treatment).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or similar design software.
Work on nationally significant, sustainable water infrastructure projects.
