A Snapshot 

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager specializing in Operations to join our Procurement team based in our HQ in Sydney. This role will report to the Director, ProcurementStrategy & Innovation and will be responsible for managing all Operations related procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiation, and management of suppliers for equipment maintenance, security, water treatment, and related facility management services. The successful candidate will play a critical role in executing Operations procurement strategies, ensuring cost efficiencies, and building strong supplier relationships to meet the organization’s operational needs.  

Your Day to Day 

  • Manage procurement schedules for each project and ensure that goods and services are procured in accordance with the project program. 
  • Develop, run and review tender packages including scope of works, bid templates, tender evaluations, reviews and recommendations. 
  • Lead contract negotiations post tender events (drafting to execution). 
  • Develop and implement category management strategies to align with business strategies to deliver the highest safety, quality, time and cost effective solutions. 
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and laws across APAC. 
  • Identify and onboard new vendors to ensure a reliable and robust supply chain in new and existing markets. 
  • Develop, lead and maintain measurable regional performance metrics including reporting tendering status, spend analysis, supply chain analysis, forecasting, vendor performance, lifecycle cost savings etc. 
  • Assist in running a portfolio of strategic supplier relationships across APAC. 
  • Communicate expectations to internal teams within AirTrunk and build positive relationships, influencing others to achieve desired outcomes. 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • 7+ years of experience in operations procurement with a strong focus on MRO and FM categories. 
  • Commercial experience in the procurement and delivery of complex and high-value operational contracts. 
  • Experience with practical application of commercial principles in facilities management within mission critical industries. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering cost-effective solutions. 
  • Demonstrated success in vendor negotiations and managing supplier relationships. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments  
  • Outstanding team management and time management skills 
  • Resilient and proactive with the ability to work at pace in an evolving and demanding environment.

  • Negotiation Skills: Strong skills in negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers. 
  • Communication: Effective communication skills to work with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. 
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail, especially in tender analysis.
