As a Middle Office Analyst at IMC, you will serve as a trusted control partner to the trading desks, ensuring the seamless flow of derivatives trades through the firm's operational and risk infrastructure. With 5 years of relevant experience, you're expected to operate with a high degree of independence and insight, proactively identifying breaks and optimizing processes that support IMC's global trading operations.
Middle Office Cycle
Trade Lifecycle Oversight
  • Reconcile high-volume, derivatives trades (e.g., options, futures) across global markets
  • Resolve breaks between front office, clearing, and back-office systems

P&L and Reporting
  • Own the daily P&L reconciliation and explain discrepancies to traders and finance
  • Support queries relating to P&L reporting to various stakeholders

Control and Governance
  • Act as a critical control point for trade amendments, corporate actions, and expiries
  • Deliver daily P&L controls, compliance flags, and support audit readiness

Process Improvement & Automation
  • Identify inefficiencies and automate using tools such as Python, SQL, and internal platforms
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to refine reconciliation, reporting, and alerting workflows

Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Interface daily with traders, quants, risk managers, compliance, and technology teams
  • Support strategic initiatives like new product onboarding and exchange migrations

Your Core Responsibilities
  • High accuracy and timeliness in trade and position reporting and reconciliation
  • Proactive identification and resolution of operational risks
  • Demonstrated leadership in process improvement and system solutions (e.g. AI solutions are being explored)
  • Strong understanding of derivatives markets and products
  • Building communication channels with trading and key stakeholders

Your Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting are preferred
  • 5 years relevant experience in banks, hedge funds, trading firms
  • Product knowledge in listed and OTC derivatives preferred but not essential
  • Proficiency in tools like Python, SQL, Excel (VBA) preferred but not essential
  • Understanding of clearing workflows preferred but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Calm, structured approach in fast-paced environment
