Join Zip’s Product Design function, where designers partner closely with Product and Engineering to create people-centred experiences that genuinely make life easier for our customers.
This role sits within the Card Spend squad, a high-impact team responsible for building and growing Zip’s card products. These products are central to how customers spend with Zip every day, and the work you do here directly shapes their experience. As a Product Designer I, you’ll work as part of a close-knit triad with Product and Engineering, contributing to meaningful outcomes while continuing to grow your craft within a supportive design community.
What you’ll own
- Designing intuitive, elegant and engaging customer experiences across Zip’s card spend journeys
- Partnering with Product Managers and Engineers to solve customer problems that balance desirability, feasibility and business outcomes
- Applying design thinking from problem definition through to high-quality execution
- Exploring ideas broadly, refining options and confidently forming design opinions
- Using qualitative and quantitative insights to inform decisions, trade-offs and experimentation
- Designing, running and learning from experiments to continuously improve the product
- Championing a Customer First mindset and acting as an advocate for our customers
- Contributing to the Card Spend roadmap, longer-term strategy and the evolution of our design system
- Supporting the growth of our design practice through collaboration, feedback and knowledge sharing
What you'll bring to the team
- Experience working as a product designer, with exposure across UX, UI and interaction design
- A portfolio showcasing mobile or app-based product work, end-to-end thinking and strong visual and interaction design skills
- Comfort working in cross-functional teams alongside Product and Engineering partners
- Curiosity to dig into the why behind customer problems and uncover meaningful insights
- Ability to prioritise work independently while balancing speed and quality
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to explain design decisions to diverse audiences
- Experience using data, research and experimentation to inform design outcomes
- A collaborative mindset with the confidence to respectfully challenge ideasA mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.
