We’re hiring for a newly created role in the Showpo Design team: Product Developer!

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our in-house Design Team, where you’ll play a hands-on role in supporting the end-to-end product development process. From assisting with initial design concepts and creating tech packs to attending fit sessions and working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll be involved in the steps to bring our collections to life.

Day to day, you will:

  • Assisting Designer with tech packs and new sample development
  • Tech Packs - Adding key specifications, blocks and fabrics to tech packs/hand over docs in consultation with designer/product developer
  • Overseeing the SKU creation and accurate style attribution in WFX by VAs
  • Uploading specs and completing/updating costing, BOM and colourway in WFX
  • Sending new development SKUs to suppliers inline with CP
  • Fits - typing fit notes, and updating PLM system after fits
  • Ensure WFX (PLM) is kept up to date and tidy by GTs/PD/Design
  • Weekly fabric/trims research and sourcing with offshore suppliers
  • Documenting the receipt of new fabrics and ongoing fabric price and composition inquires
  • Gathering all fabrics for design and buy meetings
  • Re colouring prints and developing new artwork for designers
  • Preparing print artwork files, sending to suppliers and commenting on strike offs inline with CP
  • Build relationships with suppliers and attend supplier monthly meetings with Design Room Manager
  • Track/manage sample development deliveries to ensure that everything is on-time according to Critical Path using WFX/Periscope Dash
  • Responsible for negotiating cost prices to ensure we achieve budget margin % using fit notes & record in WFX, referring to supplier history 
  • Ensure your styles are all ready with cost prices/attributes for Design Room Manager to export the Line List from WFX for each buy. Export a pre-line list.

Who are we looking for?

  • Exceptional fabric knowledge and understanding the design requirements for each style
  • Able to work autonomously and also be team oriented
  • Strong Skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets
  • Fashion Qualification is required
  • 2-3 years’ experience in an administration role. Fashion industry desired
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work in a fast past environment
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, be flexible and prioritise workload Friendly, thoughtful, honest and hardworking
