Job DescriptionAs a Product Engineer at EVSE Australia, you will contribute to the development, testing, and support of our EV charging hardware and software solutions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, assist with customer and supplier interactions, and help support the reliability of our products. This is a hands-on, multifaceted engineering role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys tackling new technical challenges every day. YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Third‑Party Hardware Support
- Support and maintain hardware from third‑party suppliers across the public EVSE charging network.
- Partner with the Technical Network Director, suppliers, and internal teams to improve network uptime and reliability.
Product Improvement
- Work with internal product and engineering teams to test, validate, and improve hardware and software solutions.
- Support testing of new products and updates, working with suppliers to identify issues and confirm product integrity.
Project & Engineering Support
- Assist with remote commissioning of EV chargers, load control systems, and communication configurations.
- Provide technical support to project teams across deployment, engineering, and implementation activities.
Communications Technologies
- Test and help improve 4G and network communication systems used by EV charging products.
- Support projects requiring complex building internet and networking solutions aligned to project scope.

You’re curious, hands‑on, and keen to understand how products perform in the real world, with a mindset geared toward learning and continuous improvement. - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with Electrical Engineering highly regarded.
- 2–3 years’ experience in an engineering role, ideally within EV charging, solar, energy, or IoT product environments.
- Working knowledge of EV charging technologies, hardware, or related electrical systems is advantageous.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non‑technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to product development, testing, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience working with international suppliers, vendors, or manufacturing partners is highly desirable.
