This role sits within the Financial Experiences team, where we are reimagining the future of exceptional home lending products and next generation marketplaces.

 

What the role is all about 

You’ll leverage your strategic product innovation expertise to support the development of our new-to-market propositions and work with innovative teams and strategic partners to deliver and position REA Financial Services as a market leader.

  • Your primary focus will be to work with strategic partnership to develop new-to-market product strategies and a sequenced roadmap to bring to market and deliver on ambitious growth targets.

  • You’ll work with external partners and REA product and strategy teams to shape and size product propositions (including success metrics and business cases) to support evaluation and prioritisation.  Some of which include new-to-Australian market home lending products, and innovative channel and distribution strategies for existing partner products.

  • You’ll work closely with external partners and internal product and technology teams to manage the program of execution for new products.

  • You’ll be building relationships within the broader business, the financial services tribe and with external financial services partners to help bring the vision to life

 

Who we’re looking for 

To set yourself up for success in this role you will have ideally gained experience in the following areas:

  • 10+ years' experience in the Mortgage market, with strong understanding of how mortgages are funded.

  • Be consumer obsessed – be proactive and curious to better understand the challenges to understanding and getting finance, and be passionate about solving those problems

  • Future focused and proven experience in harnessing your curiosity to deliver disruptive solutions, shape innovation and product strategy

  • Strategic thinker – you can analyse and synthesise information on the market and connect the dots to determine an appropriate approach and translate into workable solutions

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen - with the ability to analyse market information and data, and develop financial models to develop compelling commercial cases to prove viability of product opportunities

  • An excellent communicator and problem solver – can talk shop with the dev’s, chat with consumers and pitch a business case to senior management

  • Build relationships – it is the lifeblood of this business, with your team, across the group, partners and with your product comrades in other areas of the company

  • A strong understanding of the mortgage and home lending market – highly desirable if have 3rd party distribution experience, and understanding of how mortgages are funded
