Company Description

Nine is Australia’s largest locally owned media company. Working at Nine, you’ll have access to a unique range of experiences and opportunities, helping drive the success of the country’s most trusted television, radio, digital and publishing brands.

Our content reaches almost every Australian - meaning what we do has real impact. We bring people together, celebrate the big moments, and capture the everyday ones.

Some of our most beloved brands have been part of Australian life for generations, and others - new on the scene - have already found their place firmly in our lives. We’re evolving and we need people like you to bring new ideas, innovate and make your mark.

Job Description

This is a rare opportunity to lead the transition of Nine’s historical assets into a modern, AI-driven digital ecosystem. As the Lead Product Manager, you will be the visionary behind a once-in-a-generation project to digitise and productise Australia’s most significant media archive. You will bridge the gap between legacy content and future-forward technology, identifying commercial "value pools" and building a suite of products that make our history accessible to internal creators and new global markets alike.

Day to day you will:

  • Define the product strategy and execute a strategic roadmap for the Digital Archive that aligns with Nine’s long-term growth.
  • Lead discovery and research into user personas and "willingness to pay" to unlock new B2B and B2C revenue streams.
  • Partner with Engineering and Data Science teams to translate high-level business needs into technical solutions and AI-powered capabilities.
  • Own the data and experimentation strategy, testing innovative ways to surface archived content through automated metadata and search enhancements.
  • Act as a lead communicator, running "Showcase" presentations and high-impact collaboration sessions to align stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in product leadership, specifically within media, consumer-facing, or B2B digital products.
  • A proven track record of managing large-scale data migrations or working with Media Asset Management (MAM) systems.
  • A deep, hands-on interest in AI/ML applications and their ability to transform content discoverability.
  • Exceptional executive acumen, with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and influence C-level decision-makers.
  • A user-centric mindset, using rigorous customer insights and data to drive feature development and product-market fit.
