The Product Manager plays a pivotal role in guiding the success of a product and ensuring it meets the needs of both Iress and our clients. Tasked with the end-to-end lifecycle management of the product, this role synthesises market research, user feedback, and Wealth business unit objectives to define, prioritise, and execute the product roadmap. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Technology, design, marketing, and Customer, the Product Manager ensures that the product's vision is translated into tangible features and experiences that drive user satisfaction, business growth, and innovation. 

The Product Manager is the champion of the product, advocating for its value proposition, monitoring its performance, and continuously iterating to deliver maximum value to stakeholders while maintaining alignment with the Iress and Wealth business unit strategic goals and market demands. 


Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with:
  • Demonstrate product expertise through the use of a broad range of Product Management techniques to analyse market and competitive conditions, perform client and user research and to support the development of product roadmaps, in line with Iress’ culture and ways of working. 

  • Ensures that roadmaps and initiatives clearly support business goals. 

  • Manage aspects of cross-team dependencies within and beyond Product teams. 

  • Actively monitors existing product performance and suggests improvements 

  • Critically assess product ideas requests and manage internal and external stakeholders expectations. 

  • Work closely with the broader teams to ensure that problem statements and product definition are complete and that technical teams are clear on how to translate vision into delightful software/solutions. 

  • Ensure product management artefacts are regularly maintained and that the feature backlog accurately reflects current status and product roadmaps outline future direction 

  • Any other business priorities that are being directed by your line manager 


 
What you will bring:
  • Some product management experience, preferably with experience in a growth technology business 

  • Experience working within financial services with an understanding of Financial Advice 

  • Working knowledge of data-driven product management & conduct basic analysis with some direction 

  • In-depth knowledge of product management frameworks and disciplines and how they apply to large-scale software businesses 

  • Strong communication skills including verbal, written and delivering presentations 

  • Strategic and commercial, drives for results and eliminates roadblocks 

  • Adept at simultaneously managing multiple deadlines across geographically distributed teams 

  • Strong analytical skills with experience of user and product research Able to take ownership for & implement tasks as directed by the leader 

  • Strong collaboration with the internal and external stakeholders to ensure solutions will solve problems 

  • Understand & articulate the complexity of hard problems
