Our Product team sits at the centre of how we turn data science capability into market-ready solutions. As we scale our AI product portfolio, we are investing in rigorous, evidence-based validation to ensure we are building things that are genuinely worth building. This role sits at the very front of that process - testing and shaping new product opportunities to ensure we build the most valuable solutions for our customers.
How will you make an impact?- Opportunity validation: Operate at the front of the AI product funnel -- assessing incoming ideas and proofs of concept to determine whether they are worth building, using evidence and commercial rigour rather than gut feel
- Commercial case ownership: Build and present invest-or-stop recommendations to senior stakeholders, including market sizing, unit economics, and strategic fit analysis
- Stage-gate decision making: Make credible build-or-kill calls based on evidence gathered during validation -- including the hard call to stop something that does not stack up
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work with engineering, legal, and operations at the right moments in the validation cycle -- pulling them in proactively rather than treating them as downstream functions
- Methodology development: Help shape the validation framework itself -- there is no existing playbook, and this person will have a hand in building it
- Path to market: Where opportunities survive validation, contribute to shaping the product vision and route to market
- Pre-definition product experience: Demonstrated experience doing real discovery, validation, and assumption testing ahead of any committed build -- not just executing against an agreed roadmap
- Commercial rigour: Personally built commercial cases -- market sizing, unit economics, invest-or-stop recommendations -- that reached senior stakeholders and were stress-tested in practice
- Stage-gate discipline: Has actually recommended stopping a product or opportunity based on evidence, and can articulate the reasoning, the evidence, and what happened next
- Cross-functional capability: Comfortable engaging engineering, legal, and ops during validation -- knows the right questions to ask without needing to be a developer or a lawyer
- High ambiguity tolerance: Self-directed and comfortable creating structure where none exists -- the validation methodology is still being built, so the right person builds the plane while flying it
- Seniority and independence: Experienced enough to operate without an intermediary and make credible recommendations to senior leaders
- Bonus: exposure to AI or agentic solutions; cross-industry experience in opportunity assessment; experience helping shape a product vision from a validated opportunity through to market.
