Product Manager, General Ledger Integration

The Role

We are seeking a Product Manager, General Ledger Integration to take full ownership of the finance and regulatory reporting solution. This role requires vast experience working with banking financial reporting systems and a deep understanding of regulatory obligations. You will be responsible for leading the finance function, designing a scalable and compliant financial solution, and engage internal stakeholders in overseeing the development of new financial products.

What You'll Do

• Own the entire end-to-end finance and regulatory reporting solution, ensuring compliance with all relevant frameworks. This includes solution design, defining ledger treatment, coordinating data flows, and ensuring a seamless handoff of integration files to clients with the necessary documentation and guidance.
• Ensure financial integrity and accuracy in all reporting functions.
• Act as the key authority on banking financial reporting systems, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Provide strong leadership and guidance to the Financial Data Analyst team, ensuring clarity in finance processes and reporting.
• Act as the go-to expert for all finance-related inquiries, supporting teams across the organization.
• Work closely with Product Owners to define how new financial products should be represented in the general ledger.
• Request and oversee the development of specific data inputs from product teams to facilitate downstream finance and reporting processes.
• Engage with auditors and regulators to ensure seamless financial reporting compliance.
• Oversee financial reconciliations and ensure accurate reporting across all financial products.
• Provide strategic insights on ledger and regulatory reporting requirements, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency.
• Lead initiatives to uplift financial reporting processes, ensuring scalability as the company grows.

Who You Are

• At least 5 years of experience working in financial reporting, regulatory reporting, or general ledger management within a major bank (e.g., a Big 4 bank or an established mutual bank)
• Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage, guide, and mentor teams.
• In-depth knowledge of financial products and how they impact accounting and reporting.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, able to engage with technical and non-technical teams effectively.
• Experience collaborating with Product, Finance, and Regulatory teams to define reporting structures.
