Job Description

The Ultrasound Strategy, Commercials, and Operations Modality Sales Specialist is a senior role responsible for driving the strategic direction, commercial success, and operational efficiency of the ultrasound business. This role involves developing strategies to enhance market position, overseeing commercial activities to drive revenue growth, and optimizing operations to ensure high-quality delivery of products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Work with the Business Manager Ultrasound to develop the overall business strategy for the ultrasound business in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive research to identify growth opportunities and potential threats.
  • Formulate long-term strategic plans and short-term action plans to achieve business targets.
  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure strategic initiatives are integrated across all departments.

Commercial Management:

  • Oversee the Ultrasound pricing to ensure that we have market right pricing across both equipment and service.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and adjust strategies to meet revenue and profitability goals.
  • Perform as a stakeholder within the tender process.

Operations Management:

  • Work with stakeholders within the Philips business to ensure operational excellence within Ultrasound
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Ultrasound inventory management.

Financial Management:

  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the ultrasound business.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and work with Sales leadership and Business Manager Ultrasound to put in place corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree will be looked at favourably.
  • Extensive experience in strategic planning, commercial management, and operations within the medical device or ultrasound industry.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
  • 10+ years of experience in a commercial role.

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
