Job Description

As a Product Manager in Streaming, you will play a key part in ensuring we are able to promote our content in the most immersive and engaging way  possible on our flagship streaming products Stan and 9Now.  You will own the strategy and requirements determining how our Streaming’s unified platform ecosystem serves consumers engaging with our content through AI automation, tooling, workflows, and emerging technology, ensuring content performance today while building toward AI-led discovery.


Alongside your Product and Engineering colleagues, you will work closely with Content Operations and Programming teams to build and optimised features, tools and workflows within our Content Management, Video Management Systems and Workflow Tools that enable the curation of extraordinary experiences for our users. With the exciting advances in AI technology, you will redefine and create new workflows, and inhouse built tools that power the experiences of the future.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, Own and Execute Strategy & Roadmap: Partnering with your stakeholders, develop a product strategy and roadmap for your remit that aligns closely with Streaming goals and wider Nine objectives.
  • Identify and implement workflow efficiencies: Partner with programming and operations teams to analyse tools and workflows to identify opportunities to streamline and automate  operational processes that enable our teams with flexibility to do more with less.
  • Share your knowledge: by pioneering new approaches to how work is done, you will have the opportunity to share your learnings with the wider team and lead cross-functional change.
  • Incept and prioritise initiatives:  Balance and prioritise stakeholder initiatives to always focus on business value.  
  • Experiment and measure: Identify opportunities to experiment and test hypotheses on how we can improve customer and internal user experience, measuring the impact of your work and evidencing value return
  • Cross-functional leadership: you will lead a squad of Software Engineers through the definition and development of new Product initiatives to deliver the future  tooling strategy.
  • Collaborate with Designers: To ensure we build effective solutions for both internal and external users of our Streaming apps.
  • Work with Product Managers: Collaborate with your Product Management colleagues to identify opportunities to support and enhance other parts of the Streaming experience. 
  • Conduct Market Analysis: Conduct market research of off the shelf tools and competitor capabilities to identify opportunities for your remit.

Essential qualifications, experience & skills

You have a passion for consumer products and technology, and are excited by the challenge of making a positive impact on how millions of Australians consume entertainment every day.  We'd particularly like to hear from you if you have:


  • Proven experience in Product Management or IT Business Analysis, with a focus on internal tools such as Content Management Systems or Workflow Management Systems. 
  • Experience analysing and optimising processes and business workflows
  • A track record of identifying opportunities to automate operational workflows using AI tools
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions to drive product improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex ideas and concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional and cross-departmental teams effectively.
  • A growth mindset and a passion for technology, media, and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, capable of managing complex product lifecycles.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, agile work environment.
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset, with a commitment to driving innovation and customer-centric product development.
