About vialytics

We’ve created an AI-based solution for a decades old problem: municipal road management. We believe that intelligent road management is crucial for creating safer, more efficient, and sustainable communities. Our product is intuitive, makes our customers’ lives infinitely easier, is award-winning and has been adopted across multiple countries in Europe. vialytics was founded in 2018 in Stuttgart, Germany and recently closed a Series A round of $10m to support our expansion into the US market.

We’ve had some exciting early successes in the US and we’re looking for our first US-based Product Manager to join our team. If you’re eager to use technology to solve real world issues, obsessed with creating incredible digital products, have a high level of customer focus, and ready to join a high performing team to bring a much needed solution to the US, we encourage you to apply to join us.

Location

While our US team is remotely distributed, you’ll need to be located in the Northeast to align with our German team’s working hours and for ease of travel to meet with customers a few times per month. Please expect early morning (7:30 / 8am) meetings, to travel at least two times per month to meet in person with customers, and to collaborate with a Germany-based Product Engineering team (English speaking) in addition to the US-based Sales and Customer Success team.

The Role

As our first US-based Product Manager at vialytics, you’ll serve as a critical early member of our team. You’ll work closely with the Product and Engineering teams in Germany as a Product owner to ensure we’re creating elegant solutions for our customers while also working as the primary Product contact for our US team and customers.

In this role, you will:

  • Work as the Product Owner in a Product Team of three developers and one UX Designer
  • Take care of strategic product enhancements
  • Work closely with US customers and share your insights with the other two product teams
  • Identify market trends, assess potential future product feature development and set up action plans (e.g.: prototype testing) to successfully reach these goals
  • Guarantee the quality of our system through manual testing before software functionalities release
  • Be a point of contact for customers to assess their needs, gather requirements, and write tickets for the development team to cover requirements

Our tech stack: Jira, Ditto Words, Figma, Notion and Flutter

Role Requirements:

  • You have 2-5 years of experience in Product Management in a Tech SaaS Startup
  • Your heart beats for Digital Products and you have an appetite for good design with a hands-on spirit that drives you to explore new ideas for continuous development
  • You’re customer obsessed and eager to connect with them on the phone and in person to ensure we’re meeting their needs
  • You’re comfortable traveling at least 2x per month to meet our customers in person during sales and customer success meetings
  • You have solid UX skills- while we have a full time UX designer, being able to “speak” UX will greatly enhance your success in the role

    About Us:

  • Our customers are the mayors of cities and municipalities. You will get to know exciting personalities and work on something that serves the public: better roads
  • Our company is at an incredibly exciting growth phase with a recent Series A round of $10 million and customers across multiple countries
  • Our work is innovative and award-winning
  • We’re a highly collaborative, cooperative and open minded team. We value new ideas, new approaches, and new people
  • We are a truly international company allowing you to gain experience across cultures and borders.

The Interview Process

  • Preliminary video interview with HR (30 minutes)
  • Video interview with our Cofounder and CPO (30 minutes)
  • Group conversation with our current product managers and a “live” assignment (2 hours)
  • Final Interview with our CRO (30 minutes)

Benefits

  • Paid time off: 18 vacation days, 8 sick days and 12 weeks of parental leave
  • Highly competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • $1500 Annual Professional Development budget
  • Remote work
  • Company offsites, team gatherings

From opera to comedy shows, the Sydney Opera House hosts more than 1,600 performances a year, yet its entertainment sector isn't the only one taking center stage. The city's tech sector has earned a reputation as one of the fastest-growing in the region. More specifically, its IT sector stands out as the country's third-largest, growing at twice the rate of overall employment in the past decade as businesses continue to digitize their operations to stay competitive.
