Job Description

  • Shape the future of our product portfolio by leading strategy, innovation, and customer-focused enhancements.
  • Drive real commercial impact with responsibility for budgets, supplier negotiations, and revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Influence at a senior level by advising leaders across the Qantas Group on product, customer experience, and strategic decisions.
  • Permanent role, based at our Mascot Campus

We’ve always been pioneers, and we’re proud to see that spirit in our people today. Our resilience has helped us through good and tough times, and it still drives us to keep pushing the challenging expectations today.

As Product Manager, you’ll oversee critical commercial components including budget management, resource allocation, and the negotiation and performance of strategic supplier contracts. Leveraging customer insights and human-centred design, you’ll lead initiatives that elevate the customer proposition and improve satisfaction. Partnering with senior leaders across the Qantas Group, you’ll provide strategic advice and recommendations on product strategy, service delivery, revenue growth, and commercial decision-making—ensuring the portfolio continues to deliver sustainable value.

You’ll have –

  • 5–10 years’ relevant experience in product management, supplier/partner management or commercial management, with deep expertise in the airline industry.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related field.
  • Proven product management capability, including strategic thinking, customer-centric design, insights and research, prioritisation, and problem-solving.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in P&L management, forecasting, driver model management, and supplier/partner negotiations.
  • Skilled in operational management with the ability to influence stakeholders and deliver strategic outcomes within a complex airline environment.
  • Proficient in frameworks and methodologies including Agile, Human Centred Design, Jobs to be Done, and Business Model Canvas.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to manage projects, stakeholders, and competing priorities effectively.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and commercially focused, with a track record of delivering measurable business results.
