What's so exciting about this role?
The Consumer Australia team have broad responsibilities in supporting customers & merchants, delivering profitable growth of the Consumer business across consumer lending products, covering marketing, sales, product and analytics.
The Cards Australia team owns the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, from product development and launch through to pricing, feature delivery and regulatory oversight.
As a Product Manager, you’ll own the optimisation and ongoing improvement of a point‑of‑sale financing product, ensuring fair customer outcomes, regulatory compliance and sustainable growth. Using strong analytical skills, you’ll identify key value drivers and partner with delivery teams to design and launch impactful product and experience enhancements.
What Does An Average Day Look Like?
No day is average at humm but here’s an idea of what you can expect to do in this role:
- Support the development and execution of product strategy, collaborating with stakeholders across Technology, Marketing and Sales.
- Act as the bridge between the business and Technology, translating business needs into prioritised feature requirements for delivery squads.
- Own end‑to‑end remediation initiatives across the Cards portfolio, partnering with Risk, Compliance and Legal to deliver fair, timely and customer‑focused outcomes.
- Identify process and product improvement opportunities to streamline operations, remove waste and improve customer and merchant experiences.
- Monitor product and platform performance, partnering with Technology through testing, release validation and post‑implementation review.
- Contribute to initiative prioritisation and planning cycles, ensuring product goals align with commercial, regulatory and capacity constraints.

We’re also looking for someone who brings:
- Demonstrated experience in product management, business analysis or a related role within financial services (Cards, Loans or Consumer Credit ideal)
- Comfortable owning incidents and remediation end to end, including root‑cause analysis, coordinating technical fixes, and working with Risk, Legal and Compliance on regulatory obligations and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex issues into clear business and system requirements that drive customer‑focused outcomes.
- Confident working with Technology teams across build, UAT and release cycles, with a practical understanding of core systems concepts (e.g. APIs and system integrations).
- Hands‑on and detail‑oriented, willing to participate in UAT and occasional after‑hours PVT to ensure production readiness and platform stability.
- Proactive, commercially pragmatic and comfortable operating in ambiguity while influencing stakeholders across business and technology.
