About the role

As the lead for our Product Operations at Tyro, you will play a critical role in ensuring that Tyro’s products are developed with world class quality, efficiency, consistency and in a compliant manner. Working alongside product managers, designers, engineers, risk specialists and business stakeholders, you will be the connective tissue that helps teams focus, collaborate, and deliver at scale. This is an ideal role for someone who is process-oriented, thrives in a dynamic environment, and has a passion for building high-performing product organisations.

What you'll do

Product Rituals & Operating Rhythms:

  • Design, coordinate, and continuously evolve our product operating cadences, including annual planning, half-yearly planning, monthly product reviews, and weekly team check-ins.

  • Work with engineering to iterate on the product launch methodology to ensure high quality, high velocity shipping of key product features.

  • Bring structure and impact to how we plan, execute, and measure product initiatives across a complex, multi-squad environment.

Reporting & Insight:

  • Drive the coordination and consistency of product team reporting—bringing clarity to product health, velocity, and impact through well-crafted dashboards and narratives.

  • Review and ensure the consistent scoring and updating of key metrics such as OKRs.

Process & Tooling:

  • Identify bottlenecks, friction points, and inconsistencies in the product development lifecycle—then lead the design and implementation of scalable improvements.

  • Champion internal tooling and documentation hygiene, ensuring teams are equipped with the right resources and clarity.

  • Highlight improvement opportunities to common artefacts such as PRDs, roadmaps and other key documents across the portfolio

Governance, Risk & Compliance:

  • Partner with risk and compliance teams to ensure product squads are meeting their obligations, including monitoring of control execution and proactive issue remediation.

  • Maintain visibility over policy changes and translate requirements into product team workflows.

Team Culture & Onboarding:

  • Play a key role in building a strong, connected product culture that reflects Tyro’s values—facilitating initiatives that improve team cohesion, collaboration, and trust.

  • Own and continually improve the onboarding experience for new product team members, helping them hit the ground running with clarity on “how we build at Tyro.”

Cross-Functional Enablement:

  • Serve as a trusted point of coordination between product and teams such as engineering, finance, marketing, operations, and legal—bringing alignment and momentum to strategic initiatives.

  • Facilitate clear roles, responsibilities and decision-making frameworks (e.g. DACIs) across initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years in product operations, product management, or strategic program management within a technology company.

  • Experience designing and executing complex operating rhythms at scale.

  • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills; you’re comfortable working with everyone from senior leadership to squad-level contributors.

  • Deep empathy for product teams and a passion for enabling them to do their best work.

  • Ability to balance structure and flexibility—knowing when to formalise and when to adapt.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and a knack for simplifying the complex.

  • Proficiency in using product collaboration and planning tools (e.g. Confluence, Jira, Asana, Notion, Airtable).

Your Success Will Be Measured By

  • Operational excellence: Quality, consistency, and adoption of product rituals, documentation and reporting.

  • Team engagement: Increased team clarity, cohesion, and connection to Tyro’s product culture.

  • Risk alignment: Strong product team adherence to regulatory and compliance obligations.

  • Process improvement: Reduction in inefficiencies and increased team productivity.

  • Onboarding impact: Faster ramp-up time for new team members and positive feedback on onboarding experience.
