We’re on a hunt for an experienced Product Owner to join our Mortgages and Insurance team.

As a Product Owner within ING’s Mortgages & Insurance Tribe, this role leads the delivery of strategic initiatives focused on improving customer experience, operational efficiency, and risk management across the insurance lifecycle. Working in an Agile environment, the PO partners with internal squads, vendors, and stakeholders to define and deliver customer-centric solutions—ranging from onboarding and acquisition journeys to service enhancements and new product launches via white-label partnerships. The role requires strong digital and process optimisation expertise, stakeholder engagement, and a clear focus on delivering business outcomes aligned with regulatory standards and customer needs.

Our ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong delivery experience in Agile environments, particularly within financial services or regulated industries. You’ll bring a solid background in digital product management, process optimisation, and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to lead cross-functional squads and manage vendor relationships. You’re customer-focused, commercially savvy, and comfortable navigating complex projects involving technology, risk, and customer experience. A self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, they thrive in dynamic settings and are passionate about driving meaningful change through product innovation and collaboration.

What you’ll do
Lead delivery of key initiatives across the insurance lifecycle, including customer acquisition, onboarding, retention, and service enhancements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional squads and external partners to define, prioritise, and deliver customer-centric solutions in an Agile environment.
  • Optimise digital channels and processes to improve customer experience, reduce risk, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage product risks and compliance, ensuring solutions align with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
  • Represent the voice of the customer, shaping product strategies and journeys that deliver value and meet evolving customer needs.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement, aligning business, technology, and vendor teams to achieve shared goals and deliver high-quality outcomes.

  • Work closely with internal squads, tech teams, and external partners to define and deliver solutions across the full customer lifecycle.
  • Own and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Represent the voice of the customer, shaping product journeys that are simple, valuable, and compliant.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate across teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Monitor performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement across products, processes, and platforms.
