Build your career and Australia’s future.

Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.

We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, as the Program Analyst, reporting to the RDE PMO Governance Manager.

A bit about your role

The Regional Development & Engagement (RDE) function at nbn focuses on strengthening the digital capability and economy of regional and remote Australia.

Within this, the Governance & PMO team oversees effective business unit governance, project delivery, and capital investment.

As a senior member of this team, the Program Analyst plays a critical role in driving portfolio governance, delivery assurance, and executive decision‑making by managing program insights, governance rhythms, commercial operations, and delivery systems such as Confluence, Jira and SharePoint. The role ensures clear visibility of priorities, risks and dependencies, supports program planning and performance reporting, coordinates PMO process maturity, and assists program leaders with meeting delivery and compliance obligations.

A bit about you

The role requires experience in a program insights or analyst position.

Success in the role relies on strong PMO governance expertise, hands‑on experience with delivery platforms such as Confluence, Jira and SharePoint, and a solid understanding of project management methodologies across the full lifecycle.

The position also demands advanced analytical and technical capability, including Excel, automation, SQL and dashboarding, plus experience managing complex schedules, Procure‑to‑Pay processes, and governance within telecommunications or construction environments.

High‑level communication, influencing, planning and organisational skills are essential, with proven ability to lead forums, manage stakeholders, prioritise competing demands and drive outcome‑focused delivery.
